There are six Categories used to organize all of the articles and content posted to StraitTalk.  Everything that is published to StraitTalk fits into one of these categories.

• Announcement – a short description of upcoming events, projects, or happenings
• Around the District – in depth news or reports that pertains to more than one community
• Creative Writing – short stories, poetry, narratives, and student reports that don’t fit into another category
• From the Village – news that happened in or pertains to one village
• People – interviews or news specifically about people
• Notes from the Guru – articles meant to teach a skill
