Posting Images

After you have been entered as a contributing member of this blog, you are ready to post images.

Post your images in as timely a manner as you can, so that the blog reflects current happenings.

Title format: enter the date, and the location of your photo.

Image preparation: Please reduce your images to 600 pixels wide. There are tutorials for how to do this on the internet, and through BSSD using preview,
Using Resize!, Using iPhoto.

When you are ready to post your image follow these steps.

1. Log into the blog farm at blog.bssd.org

2. Look in the upper left hand corner for the link to the TundraPics Blog. (If you only have one blog in the Blog Farm you may already be at TundraPics).

3. Click on “Write” and then “Post” you will see open boxes for your post.

4. Enter your title.

5. Click on “Add media” and browse to your image. (You may want to use the browser uploader. It works well.)

6. Upload your image.

7. Add any details you want like image title, description etc.

8. Click on “Full Size”

9. Click “Insert Into Post”

10. When the image shows up in your post, you can enter text that gives a description of the image, or the events surrounding the image. Be sure to give credit to the photographer, and to use initials if the photographer is a child whose identity should be kept private.

11. Now click on “Publish”, and check the blog!
